Mets' Tyrone Taylor gets $3.8 million contract update as MLB teams release players on non-tender day

The New York Mets ' biggest weakness is in centerfield.

One of the guys that tried to fill that role in 2025 was Tyrone Taylor.

Taylor will be back in 2026 to try and help out there again.

On Friday, when the Mets could've chose to non-tender Taylor, they instead got a deal done with him. MLB.com's Mark Feinsand reports Taylor has signed for $3.8 million to play the 2026 season in Queens.

Taylor will turn 32 years old in January.
