(WNDU) - The Food Bank of Northern Indiana distributed turkeys and holiday essentials to hundreds of households on Friday.
Turkeys were distributed at multiple locations across Michiana, including Walnut Grove in South Bend.
Raynard Wilson, a South Bend resident, said the donations provide significant help for his family.
“It helps me out because I am a single parent, I get my kids every weekend if I can,” Wilson said. “It helps me out a lot because the way the economy is right now, you can’t get anything at the store. Everything is sky high.”
The food bank has several more turkey distributions over the next few days. For more information, click here .
