PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - For the second time in three seasons, LCU Football are co-champions of the Sooner Athletic Conference, their first under second-year Head Coach Ben McLaughlin.
“It means everything for this program,” McLaughlin said on winning the SAC. “We get judged by our bosses at the end of the day by wins and losses and so when you can go and do what you’re supposed to and feel like you’ve got the program going in the right direction and making those wins, it confirms that we’re doing things the right way.”
The Wildcats hired their former star quarterback and offensive coordinator following their Conference Championship win in 2023. Last season, McLaughlin and LCU went just 4-7, followed by a quick turnaround in year two.
