OROSI, Calif. (KFSN) -- Jason De La Cruz is one of the best running backs in the Central Valley.

The senior is ranked first in the section and fourth in California in total rushing yards, coming off a four-touchdown game to get his Cardinals to the Division VI semis.

"The success for my senior year, I didn't think I would do this good coming back from an injury," he said.

Jason missed his entire junior season after breaking his fibula and tibia.

Coming back for his final year was never in question. Head Coach Ben White is a reason for Jason's confidence.

"He's been telling me to work out, do everything I can to make sure my leg is 100% and he's always been pushing me to do my best," De La Cruz said.

As a former back himself, coach White's rushing attack is an Orosi specialty.
