FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio —
Fairfield Township police are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run that killed 72-year-old Digna Merita Arribasplata on Tylersville Road Thursday night.
A passerby first noticed her lying face down along the road and called 911, reporting, "Looks like there's a body laying in the ground." The dispatcher asked if it was on the sidewalk, to which the caller replied, "It's actually on the curb." Advertisement
Police determined that Arribasplata had been hit by a car after being dropped off by a family member to visit a friend. She later died from her injuries.
Sgt. Brandon McCroskey of Fairfield Township Police said, "There were vehicle parts there that seem to suggest a 2019-2025 Kia Forte GT trim may have been the vehicle in question that struck
