TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Thanksgiving is a time for community and good food. For decades, organizations across Tucson have worked to give those things to those who need it the most.
“There’s a lot of people in this town that are just alone, they have no family,” said Bruce Beikman, with Gospel Rescue Mission.
Gospel Rescue Mission, a local homeless shelter, holds their annual “Thanksgiving Blessings” the day before the holiday each year with food, entertainment, and community.
“They’ll be some people here that you can communicate with and have some fellowship with and listen to some good music and forget about all the heaviness that’s going on in your life,” said Beikman.
