A police standoff in Lancaster closed multiple blocks Friday evening after officers responded to a domestic violence incident involving a weapon.

Just before 3 p.m., Lancaster Police asked the public to avoid the 400 block of South Ann Street due to “police activity.” South Ann Street is closed from the 300 block to the 500 block.

In an update around 6 p.m., police said officers were called to the area for a domestic violence incident involving a weapon. At least one suspect, who police said is “wanted,” has barricaded themselves inside a residence and is refusing to surrender.
