As a high school student and public health education researcher, I’m very concerned that the Ohio House decided to advance House Bill 485 , otherwise known as the “Baby Olivia Act.”

Schools are expected to educate students on all subjects with accuracy. So, why is that same standard not applied to the “Baby Olivia Video.”

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has made it clear that the video promoted by the bill has medically inaccurate information. The video contains many misleading claims about cardiac development. I’ve seen how quickly misinformation spreads, and how hard it is to correct once it spreads.
