COLUMBIA, S.C. — A.C. Flora High School senior Daniel Brown has been selected for the 2025 Shrine Bowl Run Team, an honor reserved for the top senior cross country athletes in South Carolina.

Each year, runners chosen for the team transport the official Shrine Bowl football in a relay-style run beginning at Shriners Children’s Hospital in Greenville and ending at Spartanburg High School, where the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas will be played.

Student-athletes are selected based on their performances at the state championship meets. Daniel earned his spot after ranking among the top 10 individual boys competitors at the Class AAAA state championship in Aiken on November 14, finishing with a time of 16:29.71.
