After a month of speculation, James Franklin finally landed at Virginia Tech. Taking over the vacant position left by Brent Pry , the surrounding expectations are already high. Even Hokies legend Frank Beamer has voiced his opinion on the move.

Although he won’t take charge until next season, James Franklin will begin evaluating his new home to fix things up. The situation in Blacksburg hasn’t looked good for a while. The Hokies currently sit 11th in the ACC with a 3-7 record. Their last winning season came in 2023, and even then, they finished only 7-6. So Franklin’s new job won’t be easy. But Frank Beamer believes in him and has offered a few words of advice.
