OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The US Attorney’s Office for the District of Nebraska announced the sentencing of an Omaha man for sex trafficking of minors on Friday.

James Hatten II , 54, was sentenced Nov. 7 in federal court for five counts of sex trafficking a minor.

He was sentenced to 40 years imprisonment for each charge to be served concurrently.

There is no parole in the federal system.

After he is released, he will begin a term of supervised release for 15 years. He was also ordered to pay a total of $304,800 in restitution to his victims.

Hatten was charged with trafficking five different minors between 2022-2023 in the Omaha area. At sentencing, Hatten said he did not know his actions were considered sex trafficking.
