CONCORD, N.C. (WTVD) -- A shooting broke out in Concord about 7:30 p.m. during the city's Christmas tree lighting ceremony sending people running for cover.

Police say four people have been shot and three of them have critical injuries.

Investigators have not found the shooter.

"I thought the fireworks went off. My daughter thought the fireworks went off, and here it was 7, 8 rounds of gunshots," said one witness.

Concord Police Department is now looking into how this shooting happened.
