After watching hail pile up and stormy skies descend on Phoenix, you may be wondering whether Thanksgiving could deliver more meteorological surprises.

The answer is, thankfully, no.

After back-to-back low-pressure systems that have brought hail, slushy streets and repeated showers to the Valley, the weather pattern will settle down just in time for the holiday. Forecasters expect conditions to turn quiet, dry and seasonably warm heading into the holiday.

“We are forecasting temperatures in the low to mid-70s, and it looks like temperatures will be right around normal for this time of year with pretty clear conditions,” said Isaac Smith, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Phoenix. “We’re not expecting any more rainfall next week.”
