CULLMAN, Ala. —
If you take a drive through Cullman during the holiday season, you might accidentally stumble straight into a scene out of a Hallmark movie.
German tradition meets Southern hospitality as the Cullman Christkindlmarkt transforms downtown’s Depot Park into a festive holiday village complete with skating, sledding, and visits from Santa. There is even a double-decker carousel and the state's largest Ferris wheel.
The open-air market features more than 60 vendors offering handcrafted gifts, ornaments and German-inspired food, including flammekueche (German pizza), baumstriezel (chimney cakes), schnitzel and more.
Organized by Cullman Parks and Recreation, the event brings in thousands of people from across the country and beyond each holiday season, and 2025 is expected to
