The Norfolk Admirals snapped a four-game losing streak Friday night, overcoming the Trois-Rivières Lions 4-2 before 2,357 at Colisée Vidéotron in Quebec.

Goalie Alex Worthington gained his first professional victory in his sixth appearance with the Admirals, stopping 22 shots by the franchise that ousted Norfolk from last year’s ECHL playoffs.

Coming off Wednesday’s win, the Lions (5-5-0-2) took a 1-0 lead when Anthony Beauregard scored just 1:02 into the game. But the Admirals (5-6-2-0) answered almost immediately as Justin McDougall netted a wrist shot 19 seconds later for his first goal of the season.
