INDIANAPOLIS — Roncalli is heading back to the state finals on the gridiron.

The Royals defeated Heritage Hills 42-14 Friday night to earn their first trip to Lucas Oil Stadium since 2020. Up 14-7 at halftime, Roncalli quarterback ran for a pair of third quarter touchdowns and threw his second touchdown pass of the game in the fourth quarter to put the game away.

The Royals will face Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 3 p.m. for the Class 4A state championship.
