FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Myles McLaughlin finally met his match in the Class 3A semi-state at Bishop Luers.
The record-setting Knox quarterback entered Friday's game needing 363 yards to break Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry's national high school career record.
He didn't even get to 100.
A week after setting national season records for touchdowns and rushing yards, McLaughlin was held to just 78 yards on the ground as the Knights rolled to a 35-0 win and a trip to the state championship game.
Riddick Meade and Terrance Epperson each ran for a pair of scores for Bishop Luers in the win.
McLaughlin finishes his career second to Henry on the all-time rushing yards list.
The Knights will face the winner of Saturday's semi-state game between Cascade and Gibson Southern at 3 p.m. Fr
