GRAPEVINE — Senior quarterback Braeden Imhoff accounted for six touchdowns as the Prosper football team pulled away early and defeated Richardson Berkner 50-24 on Friday night in a Class 6A Division II area-round playoff game from Mustang-Panther Stadium.
Berkner opened the scoring with a 74-yard touchdown pass just over a minute into the game to take a 7-0 lead, but Prosper responded with a 75-yard drive capped by a 5-yard touchdown pass from Imhoff to senior wide receiver Lathon Latiolais. The Eagles took the lead later in the first quarter when junior receiver Marcus McCoy hauled in an 8-yard touchdown pass, making it 14-7. Berkner added a field goal late in the first to cut it to 14-10.
