In a major development in the Rs 3,500 crore liquor scam that allegedly took place during the previous Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy government, two key accused in the case D Vasudeva Reddy and D Satyaprasad are learnt to have turned approvers.
According to sources, the two officials informed the state high court that they have turned approvers.
Both officials played crucial roles during the YSRCP regime in the implementation of the controversial liquor policy.
Vasudeva Reddy served as the Managing Director of AP Beverages Corporation, while Satyaprasad functioned as a Special Officer overseeing operations.
Their decision to turn approvers is expected to significantly strengthen the prosecution’s case, causing visible unease among several key accused linked to the scam.
