Netflix will be adding a drama film based on the novel of the same by Amy Koppelman on November 29 and the streamer is recognised for its library of critically acclaimed book adaptations.

The film stars Sarah Silverman as an upper-middle-class wife and mother struggling with mental illness and addiction.

There was universal praise for Silverman's performance as Elaine "Laney" Brooks following the film's initial release in 2015.

The star was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role at the 22nd Screen Actors Guild Awards the following year.
