An Indian techie’s ordinary morning ride turned into an adrenaline rush he never saw coming when a mistranslated Uber driver's message convinced him that his driver was facing a “threat of murder.”

X user Arnav Gupta began his post by explaining how he had booked a cab and asked the driver to wait for a couple of minutes as he stepped out of his house. “Today I made my Uber driver wait for 2 minutes as I was getting out of my house,” he wrote.

But what followed left him frozen.

According to him, he suddenly received an eerie notification from the Uber app that read: “I am facing the threat of murder.”
