Travis Head scored 123 runs from just 83 balls on Saturday (November 22) to help Australia chase down the target of 205 runs in 28.2 overs and secure a big win by 8 wickets over England in the first Test of the 2025-26 Ashes series played at Optus Stadium in Perth. The left-handed batter came out to open the innings for the Baggy Greens in place of Usman Khawaja, and he needed just 69 balls to complete his century.
Head was the second Aussie batter to get out in the run chase, and before returning back to the pavilion, he added 117 runs from just 92 balls for the second wicket with Marnus Labuschagne (51 from 49 balls).
During his stay at the crease, Head hammered 16 sixes and 4 sixes
