Karimnagar: The Karimnagar Town II police registered a case against 15 persons for attempting to sell a newborn baby to a couple in Karimnagar.

According to police, a woman from Hyderabad fell in love with a man who absconded after learning that she had become pregnant. Left without support, she approached middlemen and, on their advice, delivered a baby boy one week ago in a hospital in Hyderabad.

The middlemen reportedly struck a deal with a couple from Chakalivanipalli in Ganneruvaram mandal to sell the newborn for Rs 6 lak
