Penn State is not vying for a spot in the college football playoff or the Big Ten championship game.

But the Nittany Lions, led by their 2022 class, are a motivated bunch.

They are playing to finish the season .500.

The Lions, who host Nebraska tonight, are playing for their interim head coach, Terry Smith. The former Penn State captain grew emotional earlier this week when discussing what PSU has meant to him.

And you know Penn State’s veteran offensive line is playing for running back Kaytron Allen, a 2022 signee who is 139 yards away from becoming Penn State’s all-time rushing leader.
