DULUTH — The 2025 soccer season didn’t start how how Duluth East senior Lundin Flohaug had imagined it.
The boys opened with a disappointing 2-0 loss to section rival Blaine and after a one-goal victory over Forest Lake, things seemed to hit rock bottom following a 5-2 loss to Mounds View Aug. 26.
Most of the 2024 season, Flohaug had played as a defensive midfielder, but felt more comfortable being further up in the formation.
“I went up to (coach Dave) Bergan and I was like, ‘I think I see myself playing the 10,” Flohaug said. “That’s more of my play style and I think it works with the team a lot better.”
