PAINESVILLE, Ohio (WOIO) - Painesville Police arrested a 28-year-old man Saturday after a shooting that killed a 52-year-old man outside a restaurant.
According to a release, at around 3:30 a.m., police and fire personnel responded to Johnny Gringos restaurant located at 11 Chester Street after a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found the 52-year-old gunshot victim outside the restaurant.
First responders attempted life-saving measures until Painesville Fire took him to University Hospital’s Lake West Hospital.
Police said the man was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Officers at the scene took a 28-year-old man into custody after bystanders detained him.
The 28-year-old was taken to the Cleveland Clinic’s Hillcrest Hospital for non-life-threate
