Shock and sadness spread following the death of a 17-year-old high school senior in New Jersey.

Tristan M. Baluski died Saturday, Nov. 15, at his Forked River home, according to his obituary on the Riggs Funeral Home website.

A GoFundMe for the family has raised $20,000 as of Saturday, Nov. 22, organized by Dorothie Bonfoti.

Tristan was a senior at Lacey Township High School and Ocean County Vocational Technical School, where he studied welding, his obituary reads. He worked as a fabricator for Sea Machine in Bayville.

"He loved to be outside; you could find him driving down a bumpy dirt road in his truck, boarding down a snow-covered mountain or feeling the wind in his hair driving his motorcycle," his obituary reads. "Tristan was an entrepreneur and he used that in his landscaping, busting his [a—] to make money for his adventures."
