MORRISVALE, W.Va. — The mother of a 14-year-old girl found dead in an "emaciated to a skeletal state" pleaded guilty to a felony charge in connection with her death, according to a report by WCHS-TV.
Julie Anne Stone Miller, 51, of Morrisvale, pleaded guilty Friday to death of a child by a parent by child abuse before Boone County Circuit Court Judge Stacy Nowicki-Eldridge. The plea preempted a Dec. 2 trial where Miller faced charges including murder by a parent.
Her daughter, Kyneddi Miller, 14, was found dead on a bathroom floor in the family’s home on April 17, 2024. Investigators described the girl's condition as "emaciated to a skeletal state."
Boone County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Holstein said the plea met the interest of justice because the possible sentence of 15 years to life
