Boston Police report arresting a teen they say was 15 when he shot two Stoughton High School students at Gladeside Avenue and Donwood Terrace in Mattapan, killing one, on July 5, 2024.

Christian Cousins, 17, who would have entered his senior year, died after being shot several times around 12:25 p.m. The other student, also 17, was shot in the arm and survived.

Both victims were sitting in a car when shot, police said at the time.

Because of his age, police did not name the now 16-year-old suspect, charged with murder, assault and battery with a firearm, using a firearm in a felony and unlawful possession of a firearm. However, his name will become public once he is arraigned, in Suffolk Superior Court.
