Boston Police report arresting three teenagers - 13, 16 and 17 - after they tried and failed to wrest somebody's moped away from him on Westville Street between Geneva Avenue and Ditson Street in Dorchester around 9:50 p.m. on Thursday.

According to police:

The victim stated that the three female suspects grabbed his moped, but he was able to fight them off. The group of individuals were seen running from the area as officers arrived on scene. A description of the suspect's was broadcasted to responding units.

Officers searched the area and could see the suspects attempting to jump a fence behind 192 Westville Street. After unsuccessful attempts to jump over, the suspects forcefully pushed through the fence, and broke the fence door.

The three were charged as delinquent for carjacking,
