BBC bosses have announced that La Voix will not be returning to the BBC One dance competition leaving viewers at home completely stunned. She had to withdraw this week due to a foot injury, but there was much hope that she would rejoin next week. Unfortunately, the 45-year-old drag artist, partnered with Aljaz Skorjanec, will not be returning at all for the remainder of the series, which has been plagued by injury.

The update was shared at the start of tonight’s live show in Blackpool, where host Tess Daly informed viewers: “We can confirm she has very sadly had to withdraw from the competition.”

Daly later confirmed that there would be no elimination this week and, therefore, no dance-off. Meanwhile, fellow presenter Claudia Winkleman said: “We will be speaking to La Voix on tomorrow
