A teenager was fatally shot, and at least eight other people were injured after two shootings Friday night in downtown Chicago, according to multiple reports.

The pair of shootings occurred in the hours after the city held its official Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

Multiple national and Chicago-based media outlets report that the shootings occurred in The Loop.
