BOLTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Bolton Valley opened for skiing Saturday, one week earlier than its planned Black Friday opening, bringing excitement to skiers and snowboarders eager to hit the slopes.

“I was so excited, I dream of skiing every night in the summer it’s my favorite thing in the whole world,” said Andrew Evans of Barre.

Noah Muller of Colchester said he was planning what tricks he would do. “I’m so excited,” he said.

Justine Robar of Essex said she saw the resort’s announcement video and decided to go skiing this weekend.

Lindsay DesLauriers, president and CEO of Bolton Valley, said she couldn’t remember the last time the resort opened before Thanksgiving.

“Worthy of huge celebration we’re so stoked,” DesLauriers said.
