JACKSON – Throughout its unbeaten campaign, Detroit Catholic Central has proven it can pound the rock or hit for big plays on a variety of looks in the passing game.
Saturday afternoon’s D1 state semifinal at Jackson High School was a reminder of the Shamrocks’ ability to wreak havoc in the third phase of the game as well.
Speedsters Samson and Gideon Gash each had a special teams return for a touchdown and Catholic Central romped East Kentwood 46-6 to book the the program’s first finals appearance since 2016.
