NEW BERN, N.C. (WITN) - Three dogs were killed after a house in New Bern caught fire.

Sunday, just before 9 p.m., New Bern Fire-Rescue went to a fire in the 1800 block of Hazel Avenue.

When crews arrived, one person was out of the home safely, but three dogs did not survive.

Officials say the fire is out, and investigators are on scene now working to determine the cause.
