A former government scientist had sexualised chats with someone he thought was a 12-year-old schoolgirl, a court has heard.

Using the online name "Jimbo Jones" Dr Llion Evans talked about "naughty massages" and wanting to take a shower with the child, unaware he was in fact exchanging messages with an undercover police officer. When officers subsequently raided his home and seized his phone they found he had more than 350 images of children and babies being sexually abused.
