GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCSC) — The owner of a Goose Creek store held a vigil on Saturday in remembrance of a man who was the victim of a deadly armed robbery and shooting on Nov. 15.
The local community, family, and friends joined together to remember the life they lost.
Berkeley County deputies responded to Myers Market just before 9:30 p.m. after the owner called 911 to report he could see a robbery in progress on his surveillance cameras.
“I witnessed that guy just behind the cash register with Kymeek pulling a gun at him. Then I immediately like call 911, tell him about the active robbery at this location,” owner of Myers Market Alex Nserat said.
When deputies arrived, they found one person dead inside the business.
Kymeek T. Traylor, 20, of Summerville, died at the scene of the shoot
