Downtown Queen Creek has experienced nothing short of a business boom over two years.
Downtown Development Manager Jennifer Lindley earlier this month detailed for Town Council the area’s stunning rise, nearly $200 million in private investment has spurred the development of close to 230,000 square feet of commercial space currently under construction.
“What we’re experiencing today is a direct effort of the mayor and Town Council’s vision,” Lindley said. “Economic development is a marathon, not a sprint, and the planning and patience are beginning to take shape.”
Lindley credited the rapid progress to years of planning guided by the Town Center Plan, adding the council and mayor helped define priorities involving walkability, design standards and the right mix of retailers.
