In his first year with the Dallas Mavericks, Cooper Flagg has managed to secure a consistent role in the starting lineup. He was in the starting five once again on Saturday against the Memphis Grizzlies, though the game ended with a 96-102 defeat for Dallas.
Flagg also showed a rare moment of frustration in the second half. While he was on the floor, Santi Aldama tripped him, which instantly sparked reactions from the Mavericks’ sideline. Both head coach Jason Kidd and Klay Thompson were visibly upset. While Kidd chose not to confront anyone, Thompson immediately stepped toward Aldama to express his displeasure.
Thompson also had a heated incident during in the game with Vince Williams Jr. He ended up receiving double technical fouls for that separate exchange.
