BBC Breakfast aired an important message following an emotional segment about farmers seeking medical advice from vets instead of the NHS , with some waiting too long to seek help.

A new campaign will train UK vets to identify several human health conditions, including cancer, in an effort to encourage those in agriculture to seek medical help if they have concerning symptoms. This initiative is a collaboration between the Farming Community Network and Macmillan Cancer Support , reports the Express .

BBC Breakfast co-hosts Roger Johnson and Sarah Campbell welcomed farmer and cancer survivor Andy Venables into the studio during Sunday's programme (November 23).
