Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream recall

Some not-so-splendid news for Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream: The beloved dessert brand and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently recalled a batch of Passion Fruit Dreamsicle Ice Cream Bars because they contain a potentially "life-threatening" ingredient for people with certain allergies, the FDA release said.

The recall was initiated because, during manufacturing, the affected batch of bars was inadvertently mixed with a crunch topping from a separate product that contained the allergens wheat and soy, which are not declared on the Passion Fruit Dreamsicle bars’ packaging.
