There weren't a whole lot of surprises for SEC women's basketball , except for maybe two teams losing to the same Big 12 team in the same week.
Texas Tech played spoiler, handing both Mississippi State and Arkansas their first losses of the season in Lubbock. It's not the worst loss either team could take, but it led to the Bulldogs taking only significant fall in the power rankings. Auburn jumped six spots, though, after a 6-0 start with quality wins to open coach Larry Vickers' first season.
