In a chilling incident, four members of a family were found murdered in Jharkhand's Dumka early on Sunday morning. The bodies of a couple and their two young children were discovered in and around their home, triggering panic across the area and a massive police response.
According to initial findings, 24-year-old Aarti Kumari and her two children, four-year-old Rohi and two-year-old Viraj, were attacked with a sharp weapon while they were asleep inside their house.
Her husband, 30-year-old Birendra Manjhi, was found dead nearly 500 metres away in a field, raising suspicion that he may have been chased or dragged out before being killed.
Early in the morning, villagers heading out for daily chores spotted the bodies and raised an alarm, plunging the entire area into fear and confusion.
