THRISSUR: BJP leader B Gopalakrishnan said that he is not a vegetarian but will eat pure buffalo meat if he gets it. He added that the Congress and the CPM are the ones who fire verbal shots when it is said that cows should be protected and that at least one cow should be kept in every household in villages for self-sufficiency. He was responding to a question from CPI leader VS Sunil Kumar during an election program on a private channel.

"I am not a vegetarian. I will eat pure buffalo meat if given. I do not lie. I only tell the truth. These people are the ones who fire verbal shots if anyone says that a cow calf should be protected.
