Palestinians on Sunday mourned the loss of their loved ones killed by a barrage of strikes in the coastal Gaza Strip the previous day.
Palestinian health officials said the strikes Saturday killed at least 24 people and wounded 54 others, and that the casualties included women and children.
Mourners prayed over the covered bodies during funerals held in Deir al-Balah and Gaza City.
They gathered around the bodies wrapped in white cloth, with some crying while others looked on in shock.
Twelve Palestinians were killed in Central Gaza, among them four women according to footage from The Associated Press.
In Gaza City, a funeral service was held in the courtyard of Shifa hospital for the dozen killed.
The dead bodies were then taken for burial.
Israel’s military claimed that it launched the attacks after an “armed terrorist” crossed into an Israeli-held area and shot at troops in southern Gaza. It said no soldiers were hurt.
