Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts were heard saying 'get him into the competition' after spotting a telly legend in the audience during the annual Blackpool special.

As per tradition with the BBC dance contest, the remaining stars take to the stage live from the Blackpool Tower Ballroom once a year, around the mid-point of the series. This is a massive event for northern fans of the show, who get to spend a weekend in one of the UK's top tourist spots before witnessing all the action first-hand.
