Police found out a woman had been shot when they were notified she had been taken to a hospital, police said.
Hartford Police Department officers were dispatched to the area of the block of 100 Greenwich Street after receiving a ShotSpotter notification late Saturday night, police said. The Shotspotter system detects gunfire.
The officers found evidence of gunfire at the scene, police said. While the officers remained on scene, the dispatch center was notified that a gunshot victim had arrived at St. Francis Hospital for treatment, police said.
