A 14-year-old boy killed in a shooting in Chicago’s Loop on Friday night has been identified.
Chicago police say the teen was one of two people shot in the 100 block of South Dearborn at approximately 10:40 p.m. Friday night, one of two shootings to occur in the downtown area that evening.
The teen, now identified as 14-year-old Armani Floyd, was shot multiple times in the incident, and was rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office performed an autopsy Saturday, according to a report.
A second victim, identified as an 18-year-old, was shot in the leg, and he was listed in serious condition at an area hospital, police said.
