CHICAGO — Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will not play on Sunday afternoon in Chicago due to the left wrist injury he suffered in last week’s game against the Bengals.
Rodgers was a limited participant in practice on Thursday and Friday and was listed as questionable by the team Friday afternoon. The Steelers made the decision Sunday morning before pregame warmups that Mason Rudolph would get his first start of the season.
It’s a big game for the Steelers, who hold a one-game lead over the Ravens in the AFC North. Rudolph played the second half of last week’s 34-12 victory against the Bengals. He led the Steelers to 10 points on his two drives in the third and fourth quarters.
