WASHINGTON — A Wisconsin woman convicted in the 2014 “Slender Man” stabbing is missing after cutting off her monitoring bracelet and leaving a group home, authorities said.

Madison Police Department said 22-year-old Morgan Geyser was last seen around 8 p.m. Saturday in the area of Kroncke Drive with an adult acquaintance. She removed her Department of Corrections monitoring device before leaving and has not been located since. Police released a recent security image and urged anyone who sees her to call 911.

Geyser had been living in a supervised group home since her release earlier this year from the Winnebago Mental Health Institute, where she spent seven years. Her release followed testimony from mental health experts who said she had made significant progress, CBS News reported .
